Overall, visual rhetoric depends on who is being talked about in the first place. Celebrities unknowingly have the power of ethos, they can use that power any way they like such as when they create their own merchandise or help a big company with advertisements. Rihanna just came out with her own clothing line and simply a majority of people buy her clothes just because she made them. Another example is when big idols such as the Kardashian family or others help create advertisements for things like dietary supplements or skin care products, making consumers think “Kylie Jenner has great skin and she uses those products, that means I’ll have great skin too if I use it.” Now musicians, although popular musicians can also use the power of ethos, a majority of musicians appeal to pathos. For example when someone is going through a break up, they would want to listen to sad or more calmer songs and look for certain artists like Billie Eilish or Coldplay. Now on the complete opposite spectrum, when someone is in the dancing mood or a really happy mood they’ll try to look for songs that further affect their mood or even base their search for songs solely based on an artist.
